Unauthorized subcontractorsI do not think it is appropriate for paid consultants, such as our contracted City Attorney, or now, the contracted "101 Czar, Peder Norby, to be able to subcontract out, expending taxpayer's money, without specific pre-approval by Council.
It is my understanding that Mr. Norby did not give advance notice that he was hiring another $10,000 consultant.
I appreciate this forum, but it took me awhile to figure out how to sign up to post comments. I hope others participate, too.
Let's keep our community character and stand up to preserve our quality of life for ourselves and future generations. We can each and all together make a big difference.

I agree! Choosing a particular consultant and using him to steer the discussions in a particular direction have turned this into a political exercise. From what I have heard, Barbara Cobb originally picked the committee members in hopes of achieving a particular result and no Cardiff residents actually had the opportunity to volunteer to be on the committee.
I am happy to hear that so far the mixed use recommendation is limited, but want to be sure that parking requirements are not reduced.
